Two foreigners will leave Poland within 30 days

A Filipino woman first lived in Hungary and later decided to move to Poland. Meanwhile, a Colombian citizen significantly overstayed his legal stay.

Officers from the Border Guard station in Bielsko-Biała conducted a residency check in Żory, which led to the detention of the Filipino woman. It was discovered that she entered the Schengen zone (Hungary) in December 2022 and obtained a Hungarian residence card. In February 2024, she arrived in Poland. During the inspection, it was revealed that her Hungarian residence card had been invalidated by Hungarian authorities and was subject to confiscation. As a result, she was residing in the Schengen zone without a valid residency permit.

Officers from the Border Guard station in Ruda Śląska detained a Colombian citizen during a residency check in Gliwice. It was found that the foreigner had overstayed his legal residency period in October 2023, which he was entitled to without needing a visa. He had been staying in Poland illegally for 332 days. During the inspection, he did not present any other documents that would have allowed him to stay legally in Poland.

Both foreigners were issued administrative decisions requiring them to leave within 30 days and banning them from re-entering the Schengen zone for 6 months and 1 year, respectively.
